The guitar is 100% original and in very good condition. Its very fast action and has broad array of tones. And, it plays like a dream. You may never see another one; if you’re a collector don’t miss this opportunity. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
CONDITION:
This guitar is original. The finish is very clean. The body has some crazing on the center of the back. And, the headstock has some crazy. But, overall, for a 50+ year old guitar it’s in great condition.
TUNERS:
The 6, individual, closed-back Kluson Deluxe, are in very good working condition. All of the tuners are smooth and hold the pitch well. Description from ntageSilvertones.com
NECK:
The neck is in good shape with a few small dings nearest the body. It’s a straight, bolted-on, with circular inlays on a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, a presumably brass nut, 20 frets, and a 25″ scale. The neck and headstock are two pieces of wood. The headstock is Brazilian rosewood with a raised/3D Coral logo and has some very minor dings. The neck is kept straight with dual steel reinforcement rods. The fast action really feels fantastic under your fingers.
PICKUPS:
The two lipstick tube style single coils are very clean, crisp and potent. The neck pickup has a smooth bright tone. The bridge pickup has a bright, twangy edge. But, these pickups in combination with the various controls (1-tone & volume control for each pickup with a master volume control) have so pretty diverse tones. The bridge pickup has one of the most raw, biting tone you’ll ever hear. The neck pickup is a bit more muted. There’s a 3-way toggle control for neck, bridge, or both pickups. And, all the electronics work correctly.
