CONDITION:
This guitar is in good condition for its age. It’s all original except for a replaced strap pin which was relocated to the top of the upper bass bout from its original position. There is some paint wear below the pickgaurd as well as a very few other minor scrapes to the body, giving it that classic look that some appreciate. The white tolex binding has also aged and darkened slighly, but it too is in really good shape. Overall the guitar still looks and sounds fantastic.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
TUNERS:
The tuners, opened-back, 3×2’s with plastic buttons, are in very good working condition.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
NECK:
A straight, bolt-on neck with dot inlays on a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, a metal nut, 18 frets, and a 23.5″ scale. The frets are still in good condition for a guitar of this age. The paint on the back of the neck has some playing wear. The Coke-bottle headstock, featuring the horizontal silkscreened logo, has some minor wear along the edges. The neck is kept straight with an aluminum reinforcement rod that extends into the body up to the neck pickup cavity. The action is fast and the neck and frets feels fanstastic under your fingers.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
PICKUPS:
The single coil, lipstick tube-style pickup is very clean, strong and full sounding. There are two white bakelite knobs, one for tone and one for volume. You can get a full range of tones by adjusting the knobs. This guitar is great for a wide variety of sounds and styles. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
