Description
This is a Danelectro ’56 Single Cutaway Guitar/U2 reissue, six string electric guitar made by Danelectro in China in 2011. It’s just beautiful looking with a white finish along with all gold-plated hardware and original hard shell case (ohsc). The pickguard is clear plastic with a gold line and “D” and does have playing wear. It is a single cutaway, masonite top and bottom with a plywood frame. This Danelectro ’56/U2 reissue is very clean but does have nominal playing wear. The white finish is a nice looking and it does have white tolex binding. The one flaw is the red lining of the case has bled onto the back and portions of the tolex on the side. The pickups and electronics are clean sounding with stacked tone & volume controls for each pickup. There’s a three-way toggle switch to choose between neck, bridge or both pickups. This model was a very limited run and has unique pickups and tone. They’re very strong sounding single coils but in the middle position act like humbuckers with a more unique, clean tone. The neck position is clean and smooth sounding. And, the neck position is raw and raspy. All the metal parts on the guitar are gold colored/plated.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
