Description

Switch Aurora two pickup electric guitar with Vibracell body and neck in white pearl made circa 2007. We love really unique guitars and this one sure qualifies. It’s inspired by the earliest Danelectro and Silvertone U2 series guitars with the bell headstock from the mid-1950s. The entire body and neck is one piece of Vibracell; which has a similar density to mahogany. It has two super strong humbucking pickups. All the hardware is finished in gold. The guitar is in very good condition overall. The gold plating shows some pitting and general playing wear. And the body has one small ding on the back of the body but it’s barely noticeable. It’s a fun guitar to play and will definitely work for Rock, Punk, Metal, or any style that needs a bold tone. This model is the first generation of Switch guitars; which later went out of business.

CONDITION:Description from VintageSilvertones.com

TUNERS:
The all original, closed back, six individual, Grover gold plated tuners are in proper working order.

NECK:
The neck is straight with 22 frets, and a 25.5″ scale. It has a rosewood fretboard and the frets, marked by circular, mother-of-pearl inlays, are in excellent condition and the action is fast. It has triangular headstock with the Switch logo screen-printed on. It has a black plate with Vibracell on it, for the truss-rod cover.

PICKUPS:
Two extremely strong sounding, humbucking pickups with a three position selector switch, one volume and one tone control. The toggle in the neck position sounds very full, strong, with a clean tone. The middle position is bold with a bit of twang. The bridge position (rear pickup) is strong, super gritty and definitely has some nice tremolo. All electronics work properly. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
