Description

This is a rare Silvertone 1357 (Danelectro model: U1), “peanut” (smaller body), single cutaway electric guitar. It is a semi-hollowbody, solid-center, Masonite over pine construction with a ginger colored vinyl finish, tan vinyl binding, one lipstick tube-style pickup, a four way adjustable, chrome bridge with a rosewood saddle, a metal nut, a clear plastic pickguard, a Coke-bottle headstock, two white plastic knobs, and original white plastic strap buttons. It was made by Danelectro in Neptune, New Jersey in 1956. And, it is in good playing and collecting condition especially for an axe that is almost seventy years old! The neck is straight with nice fast action and the pickup is clear and potent. This guitar is 100% original. It still looks fantastic, feels great and sounds superb. It includes the original hard shell case (OHSC). Don’t miss your chance to get this classic!Description from VintageSilvertones.com
