This is a very clean solid body Silvertone made by Harmony of Chicago circa 1965. The guitar is designed in the Fender Jaguar style with two hot DeArmond pick ups, mother-of-pearl block inlays on the neck, a tortoise shell pickguard on which all of the electronics are mounted, an adjustable rosewood bridge, two plastic strap pins, and a classic whammy bar tailpeice. The red burst finish is extremely clean with only a few minor scratches. All the electronics work properly and the neck is straight. With its fantastic fast action and terrific tone, this guitar plays like a dream. It is completely original and includes the original case. This guitar will be loved by both players and collectors. It will be very hard to find another one in this condition.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
This guitar is 100% original. It is in very good condition and very clean for its age. There are only two small scratches to the back and side of the body. Overall, it appears as if this guitar has been played a few times but stored away for much of its long life. This guitar plays beautifully and sounds great!
The tuners, opened-back, 6 inline with plastic buttons are in very good working condition. They are smooth and hold the tuning well.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
The neck is in very good shape. It’s a straight, bolt-on, bound, neck with rectangular mother-of-pearl inlays on a rosewood fretboard, 20 frets, and a 24″ scale. The frets appear as if they are almost new. The paint on the back of the neck has a minor scuff and a scrape. The headstock, featuring a vertical silkscreened Silvertone logo, is very clean with only a barely noticeable bit of wear on the top edges. The neck is kept straight with dual steel reinforcement rods. With its fast action, the neck feels fanstastic under your fingers. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
The two single coil, DeArmonds are very clean, strong and full sounding. The neck pickup has a clear, strong, edgy tone perfect for rock, blues, soul or funk. The bridge pickup has a tinge more twang, good for funk, folk, rock or country. Using the combination of pickups and tone knobs gives you a wide variety of musical tones from which to choose. There are four clear, plastic knobs. Each pickup has a tone and volume control. The toggle switch allows you to select the neck, bridge or both pickups. The pots and toggle are clean sounding and in fine working order. Description from VintageSilvertones.com
