This Kapa CH6 Challenger is a very clean, mid-1960's sunburst, hollow body electric guitar. It is 100% original. The serial number is 23xxx. It features two pickups with one volume and one tone control for each. The Challenger guitar is relatively light but still has a full bodied sound. It plays and sounds great. Kapa guitars guitars were made from the early 1960s through 1970 in Hyattsville Maryland, USA. This guitar's parts were most likely made in the US, Japan (and possibly Germany Kapa use Hofner parts.) and then assembled in the US. The Challenger hollow body models are fairly rare. They appear to be the precursor to the Kapa 500 series which was largley or possibly entirely Japanese made. The Challenger models have both rounded and pointed double cutaways.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
