This is a double cutaway, shorthorn guitar made by Jerry Jones circa 1995. The guitar has a semi-hollow solid-center Masonite over pine Danelectro 3021 body style and features two single coil lipstick tube style Jery Jones pickups, a white Masonite pickguard surronding the neck pickup and extending down from the treble horn to the lower treble bout, on which the controls and input jack are mounted, a two-way adjustable bridge with individual adjustable string saddles, white tolex binding, two aluminum strap pins and a black. The neck is in good shape. It’s a straight, bolt-on neck with circular mother-of-pearl inlays on a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, an plastic nut, 21 frets, and a 25″ scale. It has an “Coke-bottle” headstock, featuring a horizontal silkscreened Jerry Jones logo. The neck is kept straight with a rod, adjustable at the bottom of the neck. With its fast action, the neck feels fantastic under your fingers.
The two lipstick tube style single coils are very clean, crisp and potent. The neck pickup has a smooth, crisp, bright tone. The bridge pickup has a bright, crisp, twangy edge. One can coax a very wide variety of sounds from this guitar using the right tone settings and pickup selection. This guitar has two white knobs, one volume and one tone for both pickups.
