Description
This is a circa 1965 Airline Folkstar/New Folk Resonator resonator guitar made by National. This is the extremely rare version of the resonator guitar with the crown headstock similar to that used on the Nationals of the early 1950s. The Supro S444 model in red with the “Gumby” headstock are very common versus this style that is rarely seen.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
This Airline Folkstar features a fibreglas hollow, in black with white, rubber “binding” between the two piece body. The neck is rosewood with block, mother-of-pearl inlays. It has 21 frets including a zero-fret. There’s a plastic nut and the headstock has a raised, black AIRLINE logo. The action is fast and the neck is straight. It’s 100% original.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
