KAY: 355
Titan - Circa 1965

Kay 355 Titan Cronado 1965 2 Kleenex box pickups, natural finish double cutaway, rear input, Bigsby This is a Coronado guitar made by Kay of Chicago for the Gambles Department store around 1965. Kay made guitars for several department stores including Sears, Wards, Aldens, and Gambles. Just as Sears used Silvertone, the Coronado name was used by Gambles to market and sell guitars by different manufacturers. Titan is the name that Kay used for the guitar. The Titan was one of Kay's best made instruments. It is a rare, solid body guitar featuring a natural finish, two single coil Barney Kessel, Kleenex box pickups, mahogany body, neck and headstock with a rosewood fretboard, Kluson Deluxe tuners and a Bigsby tailpiece/tremolo. This guitar also has a unique input jack located at the rear of the guitar so that the lead would not be in the way of the action happening in the front. It's also good if you are looking for something a little different with which to impress your fellow guitarist friends. 100% original, this guitar is in good condition with only a few minor scrapes to the finish. It has a fantastic fast action, terrific tone and it is a pleasure to play. Get your hands on this very rare instrument before someone else does.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
