DAN ARMSTRONG MODIFIED DANELECTRO
1969

Dan Armstrong Modified Danelectro, 1 black pu, white surround 1969 This is a Dan Armstrong Modified Danelectro electric guitar assembled by Dan Armstrong in late 1969 from a batch of "New Old Stock" Danelectro necks and bodies that he acquired after the closing of the Neptune, New Jersey Danelectro factory. Made with the "U" series Danelectro single cutaway body, this guitar has all of the typical Dan Armstrong modifications including: the two lipstick pickups wired together and encapsulated in a tough epoxy shell; the four-way adjustable bridge with rosewood saddle; and the silk-screened logo on the clear, plastic pickguard. This guitar features a black finish, a black pickup with a white surround, two silver topped, black knobs with a red line indicator, a coke-bottle headstock with matching black finish, wood panel binding and a two metal strap pins. It is believed that approximately 200 to 400 of these were made including basses. This beauty is in fine playing or collecting condition. Grab it quick!

CONDITION:Description from VintageSilvertones.com
This Danelectro is in good condition. We are hoping that the wood panel binding is an original expremiment in design by Dan Armstrong. We beleive that it may be authentic. There are a very few, very tiny scratches on the front and back. There is also some scratches to the finish on the neck near the joint and some slight wear on edges of the headstock.VintageSilvertones.com

NECK:Description from VintageSilvertones.com
It has a bolt-on, straight neck with dot inlays on a Rosewood fretboard, 21 frets, and 25" scale. Frets are in good condition with a little wear on the first three frets that does not affect the playability or sound of the guitar. The back of the neck has some wear at the bottom near the body. The Coke-bottle headstock is clean with some minor paint wear on the edges. The action is fast and the feel is fantastic.

PICKUPS:Description from VintageSilvertones.com
There is one good quality, high output humbucker that is in good working order. It has a crisp, clean tone with a little bite, perfect for garage rock, classic rock, soul, punk, funk or blues. There is one volume and one tone control and a three way selector for instantaneous tonal modulation. Center position kills usage of the tone knob while the postions to the left or right give treble roll-off or bass cut. All the electronics are in proper working order.
