SILVERTONE 1321/U1
1957

Silvertone 1321 made by Danelectro U1, one pickup, electric guitar, semi-hollow body, bronze tolex covered body with white tolex binding, masonite body, lipstick pickup, made in 1956 This is a rare Silvertone 1321 (Danelectro model: U1), "peanut" (smaller body) electric guitar. It is a semi-hollowbody, Masonite over pine construction with a bronze finish, ivory vinyl binding, one lipstick tube-style pickup, a four way adjustable, unplated, light weight aluminum bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle, a metal nut, a clear plastic pickaguard, a Coke-bottle headstock, and original white plastic strap buttons. It was made by Danelectro in Neptune, New Jersey around 1957 and it is in great playing condition especially for an axe that is about sixty year old! The neck is straight with nice fast action and the pickups are as clear and strong as they were perhaps in 1957. This guitar is 100% original. It has taken on some age during its approximately 60 years but that gives it an authentic, stylish classic look that some manufacturers attempt to create artificially. It looks and sounds really rocking and the fretboard feels fastastic on your fingers. Like fine wine, you can feel and hear the maturity of this instrument. It comes with an original soft case gig bag. Get this classic before someone else does!Description from VintageSilvertones.com
