Kapa Continental CO-VI
1967

Kapa Continental COVI made in USA, two humbucker pickup, electric guitar, solid body, turquoise finish, made in 1967 This is a very rare, Kapa Continental CO-VI made circa 1967. It is a turquoise, double cutaway, double pickup, hardwood solid body guitar featuring a whammy tailpiece, a fully adjustable bridge, a string tree, and a white plate guard on which all of the electronics are mounted. In the orginal listing from the 1967 catalogue the guitar's color is called Ocean Turqouise but it is really more of a metal flake green, just like your old 1967 Mustang that is, hopefully, still sitting in your garage. It is this color that makes this Kapa CO-VI rare. This guitar looks great for an instrument approaching fifty years of age. With its nice fast action, this Kapa has a fanstastic feel and sounds superb. It comes with an original, plush lined, hardshell case. Get this rare beauty before someone else does.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

CONDITION:
This guitar is 100% original. It is in good condition and very clean. There are some very fine lines of crazing, barely noticeable to the naked eye, on the body and a very few miniscule dings on the back. There is also some wear to the finish on the bottom of the guitar. Going on fifty years of age, this Kapa still looks fanstastic, plays beautifully and sounds great!

TUNERS:
The tuners, opened-back, one piece, six inline chrome machine-heads with plastic white buttons are in good working condition.

NECK:
The neck is a straight, bolted-on neck with circular mother-of-pearl inlays on a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets , and a 25.25" scale. The frets have a lot of life in them. There is a little bit of wear to the finish on the upper middle back of the neck. The fretboard extends beyond the plastic nut in an interesting manner and there is a string tree. The headstock, featuring a silkscreened Kapa Continental logo with a shield and crown on a natural finish, has some very light wear along the top edges. The slim neck is kept straight with an adjustable steel reinforcing rod. The action is fast and the neck and the frets feel fantastic under your fingers.

PICKUPS:
The two double coil pickups have a smooth, potent sound. The neck pickup has a full, warm, sweet tone great for rock, jazz, blues, country, etc. The bridge pickup has a more edgy tone that is great for country, heavy-rock, funk and blues, etc. There are two on/off toggle switches for each pickup and one volume and two tone knobs, one for each pickup.
