KAPA: COBRA
circa 1965

This is a mid 1960's "bright metallic red" (translucent red), solid body, Kapa Cobra. Kapa guitars guitars were made from the early 1960s through 1970 in Hyattsville Maryland, USA. This Kapa Cobra is in 100% original condition! It features a single pickup, one volume control and one tone control. This electric guitar is very light but has a full bodied sound. The tonal quality ranges from growling rocker with the tone all the way up it to a mellow jazzy sound with it down. It has a very cool tremelo system much like the one on a Fender Jazzmaster. The serial number is 5984. It has the usual nicks and wear but nothing major. The neck is straight with very little fret wear and the electronics function fine. It plays and sounds great.

Here's the description from the 1965 Kapa Catalog:
"The same high quality as the more expensive models. The same fast neck and playing qualities at a budget price. Available in metallic blue or bright metallic red."
Original Manufacturers price $119.50.
