CUSTOM MADE GUITAR
Made in 2006

custom, Electro, Rickenbacker parts, Magnatone design, Paul Barth, sunburst, 2 pickups, double cutaway, 2006 This is a custom built guitar made in 2006 of Rickenbacker parts. It features a Rickenbacker/Magnatone shaped, neck through, alder body, double cutaways, black and white checkered binding, a sunburst finish, two single coil pickups, a raised gold pickguard, another lower, raised guard plate on which all of the controls are mounted, two white, plastic strap pins, a bound rosewood fingerboard with triangular, custom pearl inlays on a three piece maple/cherry/maple neck, a fully adjustable bridge, and a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. The luthier of this instrument worked for Electro String Rickenbacker guitar company from 1972 through 1976. There, he learned to build electric guitars in the same way his friend and mentor, Paul Barth, did when he worked for Rickenbacker in the 1950's. Paul Barth designed many guitars for Rickenbacker and Magnatone before he opened his own shop in California during the 1960's and 1970's. This guitar has similar features to some Magnatones. It is 100% original and in very good condition. With its fast action, terrific tone and beautiful, classic design, this guitar not only looks lovely, it plays and sounds great. It comes with a CD of photographs documenting every step of this guitar's creation.Description from VintageSilvertones.com

CONDITION:
This guitar is 100% original and it is in very good condition. The front, back, headstock and neck are extremely clean. There is one small crack on the guard plate near the pickup selection switch and two or three very small, barely visible dings on the sides. These tiny bits of wear are mentioned in the interest of full disclosure but it looks as if this guitar was never taken out of the house, if not out of the included gigbag. This instrument is like new. It is a beautiful, clean custom guitar that plays and sounds like a dream.

TUNERS:
The individual, closed-back, Kluson Deluxe tuners with customized metal buttons, are in very good working condition. All of the tuners are smooth and hold the pitch well.
