DAN ARMSTRONG MODIFIED DANELECTRO
1969

Dan Armstrong Modified Danelectro This is a cool Dan Armstrong Modified Danelectro electric guitar assembled by Dan Armstrong in late 1969 from a batch of New Old Stock Danelectro necks and bodies that he acquired after the closing of the Neptune, New Jersey Danelectro factory. Made with the "U" series Danelectro single cutaway body, this guitar has all of the typical Dan Armstrong modifications including: the two lipstick pickups wired together and encapsulated in a tough epoxy shell; the four-way adjustable bridge; and the silk-screened logo on the clear, plastic pickguard. This guitar features the white sticker on the cover of the rear control cavity that tells the serial number and factory location. It is believed that about 200 to 400 of these were made including basses. This guitar, with it's very low serial number, is one of the first Dan Armstrong modified Danelectro guitars ever made. This rare beauty is in good playing or collecting condition and it comes with a hard shell coffin case that received a unique custom paint job, as you can see in the photo, somewhere in its long and perhaps varied history. The case is not original to the guitar but it makes a nice add-on. We will give a discount if you opt to not get the case with the guitar. Listen to the stories that this guitar can tell. These are extremely scarce guitars so don't miss out on this great guitar for this great price.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
